In addition to programs using the Graphical User Interface (GUI) and DIN interface, the option of ISO code programming allows you to run existing programs from older G-code-based controls. This allows your current machine tool program libraries to be used with little or no modification or re-programming.

Video animation goes beyond mere “graphical-based” CNC programming and operation to reduce training, accelerate setup times and increase machine throughput. Operators “see” the difference between chip breaking and stock removal when drilling, and “see” the exact tracing sequence for a corner measurement.

No need to have CNC manuals by the machining centers
To ensure maximum CNC machining accuracy, optional measuring cycles can be used in manual mode or in program run mode. They allow machine tool and workpiece setup, as well as in-process checks. In manual mode, the workpiece zero point can be set either with a touch probe or an edge finder. In automatic mode, the tools can be checked for wear or breakage.

Create complex contours, even those with partially defined geometry elements, directly on the CNC. The off-line CAD reader software can be used to convert the DXF files of a CAD system into the contour calculator format.
Define complex or simple shapes quickly from a part drawing
An on-screen command center approach simplifies machine tool management by way of better-organized tool data and magazine locations. Simply select a tool from a familiar name list (names instead of numbers). The CNC automatically monitors the service life of each tool, switching to replacement tools as required.

An evolved algorithm improves the desired CNC part surface finish, while significantly reducing the machining time to produce that finish. Forward and backward path motions are calculated identically for line-by-line CNC milling, such as for molds. Surface finish is further enhanced by the calculation of optimum feed characteristics, even with complex block structures in part programs.

Use a 3-axis CNC milling machine to cut free-form parts
With interactive animated help elements and streamlined HMI organization using simplified functions, the CNC eliminates the need to shape a blank prior to machining. A blank can be face-milled or face-turned by setting the relevant parameters in setup mode. Press a button and the geometry is stored in the CNC's tool offset memory.

The CNC control accommodates the machining of steep contours, such as 80° plunge-cuts. This can be done, for example, with a large cutter and then removing residual material from the corners using a smaller cutter.
